Growing Joe Pye Weed is a fun and rewarding experience! There are a number of types of Joe Pye weed that grow here on our farm. This one in particular is called Hollow Joe Pye Weed, a member of the Aster family. It is the largest of the Joe-Pye weeds with an absolutely stunning display of summer flowers, making for easy identification.

NOTE - Your Wildflower seeds will need placed in the refrigerator for 90 days prior to planting. These are Wild seeds ( not GMO or grown in any type of controlled environment) and you must break the dormancy cycle ( stratification) prior to sowing your seeds.

Other known names for this herbal plant include Queen of the Meadow, kidney-root, Hollow joe pye weed, sweet Joe-Pye weed, gravel root, or trumpet weed. The plant grows in many areas of the U.S, flowering in Mid summer with some varieties reaching 8-10ft tall !
