Spearmint, also known as garden mint, common mint and lamb mint is a species of mint native to much of Europe and Asia although the plant is now naturalized around the world.
Spearmint grows amazingly well in most climates and is fairly easy to cultivate. Organic Spearmint can be grown in pots or planters to avoid the invasive, spreading rhizomes from taking over a garden area. The plant prefers partial shade, but will flourish in full sun to mostly shade. Spearmint prefers loamy soil with abundant organic matter.
