Bergamot has a lovely violet blossom and a wonderful aromatic foliage. It is common in prairie and savanna settings. Native to most of North America, it often is used for its historical medicinal applications.

Wild Bergamot is a hardy perennial that likes full sun to partial shade and will grow in zones 4 to 10. You can start your seeds indoors 8-10 weeks before the last frost or sow directly outside 1 to 2 weeks before the last frost. The best soil temperature for seed germination is 60-70 F. Wild Bergamot does best in full sun, but can tolerate partial shade.
Keep seeds refrigerated until use.
