Also known as Cranesbill & Alum Root. Wild Geranium Herb is a herbaceous plant growing around 2 feet tall with deeply lobed, toothed leaves. The plant flowers in late spring. The flowers have five petals and are pink or purple ( rarely white). Cranesbill is Native to the Eastern United States and is common forest growth. The botanical name is from the Greek word "geranos", meaning a crane. When the plant fruits it has a distinct look resembling a crane's beak, hence the common name "Cranesbill".
