Preferred by some, you can use the elderberry tincture directly from the dropper,
or, if you find it to be a bit too strong on your taste buds you can
simply mix in with your coffee, teas, smoothies or water.
NOTE: Excessive squeezing of the dropper ball is not necessary. When the dropper is squeezed once, it will only pull up a 1ml serving into the glass dropper. That is how servings are measured. 1 Squeeze = 1ml
Elderberry Extract: 1-5 Ratio
Other Ingredients: Alcohol 35-40%, Water
No Fillers, Non GMO, Gluten Free
Average uses per ounce: 15-30
Important notes concerning tinctures - Tincture ratios can be confusing!
A 1-5 ratio is standard for mushrooms and herbs. There are times when lower menstruum to herb ratios can be beneficial, although many times it is counter productive, and unfortunately it is being used as a marketing tactic. The standard 1-5 higher alcohol ratios have stood the test of time and are usually needed to properly extract the herb. The alcohol can only hold so much material before it is saturated. At the saturation point, you need more alcohol to continue pulling out the plant material . So in short, lower ratios will not always mean a superior product.
