True Solomon's Seal has small flowers drooping near the leaf axils where as false Solomon's Seal has the flower at the top of the plant with no growth beyond the flower.

Solomon's Seal grows in partial, to mostly shady areas with moist soil, although it is sometimes found in semi dry areas. The varieties of soil types, moisture, and sunlight allow the plant to grow almost anywhere.
