Horse Chestnut Tincture
Horse Chestnut Tincture,
Aesculus hippocastanum,
Dual Extract, Wild Harvested.
When it comes to tinctures, quality is essential. Although we appreciate the ancient folklore methods for Horse Chestnut extract preparations (soaking the herbs in alcohol for long periods of time), as well as percolation methods, they can fall short of professional lab extractions. As shown in our video, our Horse Chestnut tinctures are professionally prepared in a lab setting using the soxhlet extractor method.
Soxhlet extraction is a type of atmospheric liquid extraction, utilizing temperature and low pressures (ambient pressure), for the selected extract.
Soxhlet extraction is a professional, conventional technique, providing the highest recovery of valuable plant material.
Our Horse Chestnut tinctures are double extracted with alcohol and water to obtain all of the useful plant material.
Preferred by some, you can use the product directly from the dropper,
or, if you find that to be a bit overwhelming (which many do)
simply mix in with your coffee, teas, smoothies or water.
NOTE: Excessive squeezing of the dropper ball is not necessary. When the dropper is squeezed once, it will only pull up a 1ml serving into the glass dropper. That is how servings are measured. 1 Squeeze = 1ml
Horse Chestnut Dual Extract: 1-5 Ratio,
Other Ingredients: Alcohol 35%-40%, Water
No Fillers, Non GMO, Gluten Free
Average uses per ounce: 15-30
Important notes concerning tinctures - Tincture ratios can be confusing!
A 1-5 ratio is standard for mushrooms and herbs. There are times when lower menstruum to herb ratios can be beneficial, although many times it is counter productive, and unfortunately it is being used as a marketing tactic. The standard 1-5 higher alcohol ratios have stood the test of time and are usually needed to properly extract the herb. The alcohol can only hold so much material before it is saturated. At the saturation point, you need more alcohol to continue pulling out the plant material . So in short, lower ratios will not always mean a superior product.
The Appalachian Mountains are known for their ability to produce some of the best Herbs in the world! No smog, no pollution and rich, nutrient filled soil provide the perfect environment for harvesting all natural, non GMO, wild mushrooms and herbs.
