Lignite Coal - High Grade Lignite,

 Lignite is the very first stage of coal formation, a sedimentary rock forming an unbelieveable 60 Million Years ago!

Foraged right here on the Tame the Spirit Farm in the Appalachian Mountains. Our farm is located literally in the side of a small Mountain, where coal mining was common among early settlers up until as recently as a few decades ago. Our farm includes three known abandoned mines with rich local history and a bit of occult type folklore stories that all evidence points to them possibly being true! The small amount of Lignite we harvest is appreciated by the many alternative spiritual practitioners we serve that find using all natural, non commercial, organic ancient products to better suit their spiritual and ritualistic activities.

Low grade Lignite is nearly brown with high grade being mostly black, with only having noticeable streaks of brown. Lignite contains about 60 to 70 percent carbon minerals.

Coal is highly Volatile, coming in many grades for hundreds of uses. It is a sedimentary Rock material containing a variety of organic compounds.
