Dead Nettle, also known as Purple Dead Nettle or Spotted Dead Nettle, is a low-growing, herbaceous perennial that's native to Europe, temperate western Asia, and North Africa. Hardy in zones 3-8, It can grow up to 9 inches tall or more under the right conditions and makes great lower growing ground cover in the Springtime. In Eastern Kentucky I have seen Dead Nettle reach 2 feet in height under perfect growing conditions! Dead Nettle leaves are green with a white or silver stripe. Spotted dead nettle blooms in mid to late spring and will die off in Hotter climates until the following Spring, when it will pop up once again with it's beautiful flowers!
Our Wild, Non GMO herb seeds will need to be placed in the refrigerator for 90 days prior to planting. This process is called stratification and will artificially break the dormancy period that seeds experience during seasonal changes.
