Native to North America, slippery elm is one of thirty-four species of elm trees growing in the U.S. The tree grows from 40-60ft tall, thriving in higher grounds. The Slippery Elm Tree is known by quite a few names including Red Elm, Moose Elm, Indian Elm, and Winged Elm.
The Elm Tree is not grown in nurseries or farms to obtain the bark, therefore, it is vital that the Elm bark is ethically harvested in order to avoid devastation of this species. Our bark is always ethically harvested from our own land!
