Terrarium Moss - Live Fresh Moss,

 Use our Live Moss in Terrariums, rock gardens, shaded landscapes, Fairy Gardens and more! Our live, fresh Moss is ethically harvested straight from the "Tame the Spirit" Farm, here on our land, in the beautiful Appalachian Forests and Mountains. 

You will receive your moss live, moist, and ready for your Terrarium! It will arrive in 3-6 clump size pieces. Once you find your home for your moss, simply place the clumps next to each other, forming any size or shape you like. This moss has personality! 

Your Terrarium Plants (moss) will do best on a rock substrate being misted once a day and out of direct sunlight.

We will leave some dirt attached to provide humidity in transport. 

The Appalachian Mountains and forests provide a supreme environment for mosses to thrive. With limestone Rock, Sandstone cliffs and a shaded understory, the mosses live in a near perfect, humid, growing environment.  

In Appalachia this particular type of Moss is called "Mood Moss"  for it's swaying look. It can flow to one side, usually flowing consistently in sheet clumps on the sand/soil rock formation that it presides. Appalachian folklore and even today, some locals believe it will change direction based on the mood of the forest and mother nature! 

Mood moss has a nice velvety surface. It gives a bright Green "rich" look to any terrarium and can provide a finishing touch to potted plants, cactus, plant decor, nature decor or any floral arrangement. We also have Dried Peat moss available!
