Turmeric Tincture - Beautiful Yellow Golden Extract
Turmeric Tincture,
Curcuma longa,
When it comes to organic tinctures, quality is essential. Although we appreciate the ancient folklore methods for organic Turmeric extract preparations (soaking the herbs in alcohol for long periods of time), as well as percolation methods, they can fall short of professional lab extractions. As shown in our video, our Turmeric tinctures are professionally prepared in a lab setting using the soxhlet extractor method.
Soxhlet extraction is a type of atmospheric liquid extraction, utilizing temperature and low pressures (ambient pressure), for the selected herbal extract.
Soxhlet extraction is a professional, conventional technique, providing the highest recovery of valuable plant material.
Our Turmeric tinctures are extracted with gluten free alcohol and spring water to obtain all of the useful plant material.
Preferred by some, you can use the product directly from the dropper, or, if you find that to be a bit overwhelming (which many do) simply mix in with your coffee, teas, smoothies or water.
NOTE: Excessive squeezing of the dropper ball is not necessary. When the dropper is squeezed once, it will only pull up a 1ml serving into the glass dropper. That is how servings are measured. 1 Squeeze = 1ml
Turmeric Extract: 1-4 Ratio
Other Ingredients: Alcohol 35%-40%, Water

Important notes concerning tinctures - Tincture ratios can be confusing!
A 1-5 or 1-4 ratio is standard for mushrooms and herbs. There are times when lower menstruum to herb ratios can be beneficial, although many times it is counter productive, and unfortunately it is being used as a marketing tactic. The standard ratios have stood the test of time and are usually needed to properly extract the herb. The alcohol can only hold so much material before it is saturated. At the saturation point, you need more alcohol to continue pulling out the plant material . So in short, lower ratios will not always mean a superior product.
Your Tincture will arrive in a glass dropper bottle which is safely packaged in a protective box, always guaranteed fresh or your money back!

A bit about Turmeric, one of our favorite herbs!! -
Although the benefits of Turmeric are nearly too many to list, it's hard to receive the herbal benefits without using some form of concentrated extract or tincture. The standard amounts used for culinary purposes are usually not enough to receive the herbal benefits. Tinctures, extracts and glycerites are the preferred method for herbal use.
Our beautiful farm grown organic turmeric boasts a glowing, golden yellow and is Farm Grown using NON GMO seed and no pesticides. Bulk Herbs always unprocessed with no additives or preservatives.
This amazing herb has many culinary uses in Indian Cuisine as well as being a huge favorite among herbalists around the world!
Organic Turmeric comes from the root of the Curcuma longa plant, which is native to Asia. It's use dates back nearly 4000 years!
Organic herbs such as fresh Turmeric root play a major role in Indian Cuisine and Curry. Many old time vintage recipes and cook books suggest using Turmeric not only as a spice but for the various herbal uses. Use Turmeric in Spinach, Egg Salad, Soups and Stews. Try your hand at authentic Thai Food by making your own curry and spicing up your Chicken... and Let's not forget seafood dishes! Turmeric can bring a whole new life to Lobster, Crab, Shrimp or your favorite fish!
Turmeric can also be used as an all natural dye. The brilliant yellow stain has been used for centuries and works perfect for all natural or organic crafts and projects. Most likely the butter and mustard in your refrigerator were manufactured using Turmeric as the brilliant yellow dye from the fresh herbs.
NOTE: Careful when using! This tincture will stain anything it touches! It is recommended to mix the tincture in with your preferred drink, such as smoothies, coffee, water, etc...otherwise, using it directly from the dropper will give you a golden tongue for hours!
The root of Tumeric (rhizome) appears similar to that of Ginger. The Rhizome is boiled, dried, ground and sifted, producing a brilliant yellow powder for use as a spice, or a useful herb. The plant itself grows up to three feet tall and for those with a green thumb, it is fairly easy to cultivate in a managed home garden.
