The herb is a member of the Acanthaceae family, reaching up to three feet at maturity with small, showy pink or white flowers. The herb is also known as Creat or Green Chiretta. The Andrographis Tea is quite bitter making the use of extracts and tinctures more common than organic tea. If using as an herbal tea, mixing with additional herbs to mask the bitterness may be necessary if you are sensitive to the bitter herb taste.
