Grains-of-paradise is a member of the Zingiberaceae family (ginger) It is also known as Guinea grains and Melegueta pepper. Grains-of-paradise is made up of essential oils such as gingerol, paradol, and shagaol. It also contains manganese , gum, tannin, starch, and brown resin. The Organic Herb has been found to have anti-fungal and antimicrobial compounds.
