You will receive 1/4 Pound of shells. This is approximately 110 to 170 shells of different small sizes.

Inside these shells were once small living organisms. They have left their home behind for us to enjoy! In many ancient cultures, crafting with shells and then giving as a gift was considered a great honor for the recipient. Necklaces were made in honor of past lives and cultures. Each shell could have a different meaning and additional shells could be added as life events and deaths occurred.

Shells are much more than a craft item, they have a real history! Our shells were collected by my husband and I, from Roundstone Creek in Rockcastle County Kentucky. This is a karst region with clean water and underground cave forming creeks. So your shells have been safe from pollution and chemicals! I have rinsed the shells fairly well although you may wish to rinse them again.
