Teasel Root is used in a variety of herbal remedies, usually in the form of teasel extract or teasel tincture. Dipsacus are native to Europe, Asia and northern Africa although are now naturalized in many parts of the world including the U.S.

Teasel root is a type of Thistle growing around 3-8 feet tall. The Teasel Plant is a genus of flowering plants in the family Caprifoliaceae. The actual spelling of Teasel varies from teasel, teazel or teazle. The genus includes around 15 species of tall herbaceous biennial plants.
